We’re excited to celebrate the re-opening The Comedy Studio outside on JFK Street which will be closed off to all traffic from 2-6pm.
The afternoon will open with a welcome address by Denise Jillson from Harvard Square Business Association and John Bonham-Carter from The Comedy Studio at 2pm.
Two local comedians, will MC the afternoon and will introduce the main music act, The Theo Griffin Experience, a local band known for their funk, soul, blues and varied repertoire of compositions. They will start the party and get everyone dancing in the street.
At 3pm, some extra special guests will come to the stage to be interviewed by Nick Zaino, a Boston veteran comedy reporter. They are Gary Gulman (“Depresh”), Jenny Zigrino (“Comedy Central, HBO”) and Eugene Mirman (“Bob’s Burgers”).
Our MC's will then host a X Factor style One Joke Only comedy competition on the stage with the audience getting to choose their favorite local comedian of the afternoon!
From 4pm, on the stage, we'll continue with more family fun with jugglers, magicians, a contortionist and so much more!
Throughout the day, on the street, there will be vendor stalls, face painting, family fun, a beer garden, food trucks and many more activities!
Supported by Harvard Square Business Association, El Jefe, La Crema Wine and Sam Adams.
And it’s FREE ENTRY! Can't beat that can you! RSVP if you can.
If you want to see Gary, Eugene and Jenny perform some of their best comedy, you should buy a ticket to the Evening VIP Showcase – available here: https://www.thecomedystudio.com/event/the-comedy-studios-vip-comedy-showcase/

A truly special VIP event which is not to be missed. The Studio is ecstatic that three fabulous, famous and very funny comedians are coming back home to our stage for this spectacular show... "But who?" you're thinking - they're Jenny, Eugene and Gary, plus a few friends.
The evening begins at 6pm with an included welcome cocktail (non-alcoholic options available) and some light bites. There are limited tickets for this special event so don't be late to enjoy the cocktail hour with your lucky friends and the comedy community.
Our host will be Alex Giampapa, an up and coming comedian on the Boston scene, who will welcome the audience and introduce the stars of tonight and perhaps a few stars of tomorrow. Some of these people might be the comedians you saw first at The Studio before they became famous - just like Gary and others were a long time ago (we're not counting the years though!).
The VIP showcase show runs from 7pm to 9pm with a brief interval.
Tickets are now available so make sure you do not lose out!
